Frequently asked questions.
What are my wood options?
All wood used at Thumb Print Wood Working is sourced from a local lumber yard, Kluttz Lumber, that sells both domestically grown and globally grown trees. Anything they have in stock can be used for your project. If you are unsure about what you would like your product made from, click here to view options. Additional cost may apply for custom designed pieces.
What wood is good for cutting boards?
Most hardwood is suitable for cutting boards. Two things to keep in mind are the hardness of the wood and the porousness of the wood. Typical woods used include maple, cherry, walnut, purple heart, hickory or padauk. See the link above for more options.
When can I expect my product to ship?
Most products can ship within two to four weeks. This window exists to accommodate for the busyness of the season as well as time to plan and produce your one of a kind product.
Do you accept returns?
The short answer is No. Each piece is carefully crafted and truly one of a kind. Have confidence that there is not another product that is exactly like yours. If you are unsatisfied with your product please reach out to make it right.
Do you sell other larger products?
Yes! Larger, furniture items take a longer time to produce and have more customizable features. If you would like a furniture item please contact us with your requests and lets see what we can make together.
